The REACT European project is looking for passionate, talented individuals to join our dynamic team as Doctoral Candidate in Neuromorphic System Reliability Investigation, Politecnico di Torino (Italy).

REACT is a prestigious European initiative focused on developing a neuromorphic platform that is inherently self-aware in terms of energy consumption, secure operation, and system reliability.

In particular, the proposed Ph.D. project focuses on addressing the reliability challenges associated with AI applications that leverage modern neuromorphic technologies. The candidate will have the opportunity to work within a well-structured, three-year Ph.D. program.

Qualification & Eligibility

  • Mobility Rule: Candidates must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Italy for more than 12 months in the 3 years immediately before the recruitment date
  • Ph.D. Rule: Applicants must not already possess a doctoral degree at the date of recruitment
  • Degree Requirement: Master’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with excellent grades
  • Skills:
    • Excellent programming and scripting skills (C, C++, Python)
    • Solid understanding of computer hardware design and synthesis tools (ASIC, FPGA)
  • Language Requirements
    • English language certificate – level B2.

We offer an Italian contract in accordance with the regulations of Italian Universities and in line with the MSCA ND recruitment standards.

  • Start Date: November 1, 2025
  • Hiring Period: July 1, 2025 – September 30, 2025
